Reiwa 1st Year Arts and Culture Festival

November 2, 2019

The beautiful autumn weather continues, and I hope you are all doing well.

The works for the Reiwa 1st Year Arts and Culture Festival are currently on display at the City Art Museum.

Part 1: Japanese painting, Western painting, printmaking, watercolor, sculpture
Part 2: Calligraphy
Part 3: Crafts, design, photography

Each category features impressive works by everyone.

This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy art close to home.

Why not take a stroll through the museum gardens and visit the exhibition?

The display runs until Sunday, November 10th.

Inspired by the efforts of our students, I also drew energy from the challenge and decided to submit a piece.

This kana calligraphy work is my own creation.

On Wednesday, November 6th, around 10 a.m.,
I would like to share some tips on how to appreciate the artworks with a few of our students—just enough to give them some guidance.

By talking together, I believe I’ll also gain new insights,
and hopefully, it will become a motivating and enjoyable experience for the students as they continue their studies.

Shall we gather on-site and have a fun, lively time?
Most likely, half of it will just be a casual chat… but that’s part of the fun!
