June Student's Works

June 5, 2019

Have the first graders gotten used to school yet?
The season is quite challenging — chilly mornings and evenings, but daytime feels like midsummer.

Just the other day, a young girl came to our classroom right after returning from school, drenched in sweat.
I couldn’t help but say, “Oh my, did you run here?”

Her parent mentioned wanting her to come while there are still only a few students.
I will take full responsibility and do my best to guide her.

Regarding how first and second graders study at our classroom:
For a while (about 2 to 3 months), they focus only on hard-tipped brush pen (pencil) practice, learning proper posture and how to hold the pencil correctly.
Once they’ve mastered that and show interest, they may move on to both hard-tip and brush calligraphy courses.

Of course, it’s also possible to start with both courses from the beginning.

Especially for first graders, we pay close attention to making sure they hold the pencil properly and enjoy practicing so they can continue happily.
