Despite the summer heat, everyone stays focused.

July 25, 2024

Summer greetings to you all.

Here are this month’s student works (penmanship).

All the students are working very hard.

Students have been learning since the first grade of elementary school.

While their brush writing (calligraphy) is steadily improving, their pencil writing has become even neater.

Completing one page of notebook homework well deserves a gold medal!

After notebook corrections, they redo the work and then move on to the final clean copy for submission.

After about 10 to 15 minutes, they switch to brush writing and continue with their lessons.

She has been attending since first grade and is now in third grade.
She always arrives about five minutes early without fail.

This time, she practiced the “shinnyou” (radical) part of the kanji “通” repeatedly in her notebook.
When I explained the corrections, she pursed her lips with a thoughtful “hmm,” showing she was really paying attention.

Because she understands, the purpose of the corrections comes across clearly.
We exchanged smiles as we looked at each other.

She always works very hard.
