How to clean a calligraphy brush

We are truly grateful for the cooperation we have received from both students and their guardians as we continue to operate our classes while taking precautions against COVID-19.
Today, we would like to share the correct method for cleaning a small calligraphy brush, as taught in our school.
1:Draw vertical lines to remove any excess ink from the brush.
2:Pour a small amount of water into a dish—just enough to cover the bottom.
3:Draw vertical lines on a brush-wiping cloth to remove any excess moisture.
After that, please dry the brush thoroughly at home.
For upper-grade students and adults, there is also the following method:
After removing excess ink, draw vertical lines on a tissue dampened with an appropriate amount of water until the ink fades.
Then, let the brush dry completely.
